“Prayers do not die. The lips utter them may close in death, or the heart that felt them may cease to beat, but the prayer lives before God and God's heart is set on them. Prayers outlive the lives of those who utter them. Outlive a generation, outlive an age, outlive a world.”

~E.M. Bounds

I love prayer.

I am in awe that we have the privilege of prayer, and the almighty power of God behind it. The realization that our prayers “are ever before God” (Revelation 5:8) is both humbling and exhilirating.

How amazing that prayers transcend time and space!

I also love aprons.

They represent love to me. My mother, grandmother, and aunts spent the majority of their lives wearing one.

I rarely wear a physical apron as they did, but putting on a spiritual "apron of prayer" infills me like nothing else can and does.

What a divine, yet mysterious, privilege we have been given to be able to talk to God anytime and anywhere!

And when we are long-gone from walking our earthly journey, our prayers remain.

How amazing is that?

Won't you tie on an apron with me and leave a legacy of prayer?
