About Becky

Hey there! Iā€™m Becky.

I live in the now sprawling metropolis of Atlanta, Georgia.

I remember when it was a sleepy Southern city that took me fifteen minutes and a $5.00 cab fare to get to the airport. Those days are long gone and living in the country holds more and more appeal.

I grew up in a small town in southeastern Pennsylvania with great neighbors, sledding hills that tickled our bellies, and plenty of playmates to put on fun shows.

With a desire to explore more of the world, I landed in Atlanta to go to college, and the rest is history. I met my husband here and we raised our identical twin daughters here.

My heart beats for Jesus, and to see people come to know and love Him. I have served in the Women's Ministry of my church for many years, with an emphasis on planning Women's Retreats.

Here are a few of my favorite things ~

  • Favorite Pastime

Reading! Oh, happy day when our little town opened a library! I was ten years old. I devoured Nancy Drew mysteries and relished carrying home a newly checked-out stash that would take me on grand adventures far away from my childhood home.

  • Favorite Movie

"Sound of Music." Hand downs. I was twelve years old when my Dad took me to see this amazing true story. I even remember what I wore ~ a navy blue pleated wool skirt and a light blue toile blouse with pearl buttons. I've watched this cinematic wonder countless times since then. It never gets old. Do you think my hairdo was influenced by Fraulein Maria, haha?

  • Favorite Accessory

Jewelry. Ever since I was a little girl, I adored jewelry! Rings are my favorite, and when your daughter's friend works for the Atlanta Braves, and received a World Championship ring...well, you have to ask her to bring it over to the house and try it on.
